If your Granita / Slushie machine has given up the ghost – don’t despair! Call our technician on 0422 218 396 for phone support and advice during business hours. If you can’t reach us straight away (we might be on a call to repair a machine) please leave a message. We will get back to you as soon as it’s possible.
Quite often it can be a simple thing that’s easily fixed. Sometimes a machine needs to come back to our workshop for repairs.
In any case, you will be asked a few questions and given an initial diagnosis (if possible) and probable cost over the phone.
In most cases it is well worth having the machine repaired.
All our repairs come with a full warranty on the work performed and any spare parts used. Spare parts are kept in stock and are available from our Sydney warehouse.
Should the machine be beyond repair, you can choose to use it as a trade in to buy another machine or we can purchase it from you outright.
A lot of the machines we deal in are Italian made SPM (IMI Cornelius) Granita machines. If you send us your email address, we will email you a FREE user manual (pdf report) for these machines for your reference.
have a Slushie Machine – Cornelius Twin Barrel 4 yrs old starting to play up when i set to freezer mode it takes up to 30 min before the compressor even kicks in and when it dose it freezes almost straight away and then cuts off say after 10 mins . every thing else works fine
do you think i need a new main controller and if so where can i buy one

the problem is electrical by the sound of it, and could be one of 2 areas; main controller, or a timer relay. If its the main controller you will need a new one and yes, they are available from us. If it’s the timer relay they seldom fail and a second hand one would be a perfectly adequate option (we can supply this too) if it needs replacing. I have a jet ice twin barrel slushie machine model ssm-280 we have had a dpower serge and the electronic board in my machine is not working. Do you stock them and if so could i please have a price

a power surge would have to be quite severe to damage the board. Not knowing the symptoms, i.e. does it freeze down or not, it is difficult to accurately diagnose the real problem, you might just need a cheap fuse replaced instead of the whole board. However, if it is the board, this part costs $167.00 and we have them in stock. Call Kevin on 0422 218 396 to place an order or to discuss what could be wrong with the machine.
We have been asked to look at a twin barrel granita machine, on which I looked hi and low for a makers plate. The only marking I can see is
a stylised GMB or similar. I have found the problem, that is the gear box drive and the shaft end are worn causing the shaft to disengage.
The motor gearbox is Italian made with the following numbers on it:
(401)81224 48995509775, the barrel stirrer shaft approx 12mm diameter has a matching flat its length 350 to 400mm.
The top rear bowl cover has a multi pin connection. The 2 piece bowl cover is supported by a white nylon cross bar. Not much to go on but I would recognise parts in an exploded view, need price and availability please. Geoff

the best way to identify any machine is to keep pulling panels off it until you find the manufacturers identification tag. These are required by law as they must stipulate the type of refrigerant gas contained in the equipment. Remembering that the removal of external panels exposes live wiring and other possible injurious components and should only be undertaken by an appropriately trained and accredited technician.
